US SABER BAYONET FROG

This leather frog fits the 1855 rifle bayonet scabbard.  It is made for the scabbard with a metal loop and has a strap that fits through the metal loop to secure the scabbard.  There ate two loops for the waist belt.  This frog has a rivet on each belt loop which dates it, to 1862 or later.  

The leather is in solid condition with no tears or weak spots.
