Starr Carbine

The Starr carbine was made in Yonkers NY with a total production over 20,000.  The 54 caliber carbine has a lever activated falling split breech. It is percussion.

This example is solid with a brown patina.  The markings are all sharp, deep and readable.  The action functions well.  The bore has strong rifling.  The two piece wood stock has some dings and bumps, but two cartouches are visible and readable.  The rear sight is origional.  The brass barrel band is present.  But the barrel band spring is missing.  Still a solid example of a well regarded carbine
