These unique revolvers were made in 1861 and 1862 with a total production of 20,000.  Many were purchased by the federal government.  

This example has grey metal patina. There are some small patches of light pitting. The manufacturing marks on the top strap are clear and readable.  The action functions.  I do not see cartouches on the grips.  The wood grips are solid with a few dings and dents.
