Pattern 1861 Cartridge Box

This cartridge box is a solid above average example of the typical cartridge box of the Federal soldier. The Pattern 1861 has the rivets on the waist belt loops and nowhere else.  In 1864 rivets were added to the buckles and the latch tab.  It is complete with tins, US plate and latch tab.  There is a makers mark on the inner flap.  The stitching is solid and there are no tears or missing pieces.  Both Buckles are firmly in place.  The leather is solid with some crazing on the flap.
