1861 MAHAN GUARD AND OUTPOST.  SOLD

This work was first published in 1847 and was a textbook for most officers in the Mexican War and Civil War period.  This is a tight copy showing little wear.  I did not see an identification.  But there is a mark on the cover that could be an "A".  General orders required that certain military books be provided to each company in service.  This could be an example belonging to company A.  Not definate but interesting possibility.
