Confederate Tin Drum Canteen. SOLD
This canteen is a tin drum canteen with two concave sides. It has a tin spout and all three strap loops are intact. It is solid and complete and has a dent or two on the faces. It is 6" across the face and apx 2" deep. Then each side bows out. There are paralel stripes in the tin which are taken as an indication of wartime production. It looks untouched since the war. It came from a group of items brought home by Sgt Granville C Fisk, Co H, 9th Vermont Infantry. At the end of the war his regiment was in the Richmond area so perhaps it came from Richmond.
