Confederate Cartridge Box and Web Sling SOLD

This cartridge box was made for the waist belt.  It has a harness button finial.  The belt loops are cut off square on the bottom.  That and the finial indicate confederate manufacture.  The box is solid and has a single tin. The outer flap of the box has a slit on each side where it curves over the top.  The  cotton Web Sling fits into those slots and ties together under the flap.  It is an interesting modification to help with the weight of the loaded box.  There is a name in ink on the strap.
