COLT 1860 ARMY - 4 SCREW

Colt 1860 Army - 4 Screw   -SOLD

This pistol dates from the first year of the war and is a solid example.  The serial numbers match on the barrel, frame, trigger guard backstrap and wedge.  The cylinder number is faint but I do not think it matches.  I looks like 184?? while the rest of the gun is 18577.  There are only small amounts of the scene on the cylinder.  

There are no cartouches on the grips and there are inspectors initials on the several of the parts including the cylinder.  The metal is brown patina with scattered patches of small pitting.  The action is nice and crisp and the barrel fit is tight.
