Colt 1849 Pocket Revolver

The 1849 COLT Pocket was Colt's most popular percussion handgun.  Over 300,000 were produced.  They came in various barrel lengths, 4" 5" and 6" being the typical.  

This example was produced in 1860.  It has a even grey patina with small areas of light pitting.  There are places on the barrel with patches of bluing.  The cylinder scene is mostly visible.  The serial numbers match.  The action is solid and it has the two line New York address.  The wood grips have most of the varnish remaining.  There are some small dings.
