BRITISH BAYONET

This socket bayonet looks to be 18th century.  It looks to be a carbine bayonet.  It has a brown patina.  The socket is 3 1/4" long and is sized for a 69 caliber.  The blade is 14 1/2" long.  The slot has been lengthened. The base of the blade is marked with what looks like a tower of London mark.
