This is a nice example of this distinctive confederate Saber bayonet.  The blade is clean semi bright condition.  There are no nicks in the blade.  The handle is turned as typical for this bayonet.  The latching mechanism is complete and works.  These bayonets took a special detachable ring with a lug that would slide over the front sight.  These bayonets were used on Mississippi rifles and confederate manufactured two band rifles.
