COLT 1861 NAVY
The 1861 navy is regarded as Colt's best percussion pistol. Though produced in numbers much fewer than the 1860 Army, this model is considered the prettiest of the Colt percussion series. This example is a nice one. It has 30 to 40% of the bluing on the barrel. Case colors are strong on the frame and the loading lever. The action is strong and crisp. The cylinder scene is strong and nearly complete. The markings are all sharp and clear. The wood grips have a lot of original varnish.
This example was made in 1864, and is a beautiful Colt.
