    COLT 1861 NAVY.  SOLD

This navy is a pleasing example of arguably the prettiest Colt percussion pistol.  It has the streamlined look and great lines.  This example is grey metal with scattered pitting and still is tight and has a solid action.  The serial numbers match except the wedge which is numbered.  It was made in 1862 placing it as an early war example.  There is some scene left on the cylinder.  The colt marking on the barrel and frame are strong.  The wood grips have no repairs and are solid.  There is not much varnish left and I suspect they have been sanded.  SOLD
