US 1850 Cap Pouch - for 1855 Rifle Belt

US 1850 Cap Pouch. SOLD

This cap pouch is the shield front and has the long belt loops with no rivets.  These cap pouches with long loops were used on the 1855 rifle belt which was 2.25 inches wide.  This cap pouch is solid with tight stitching.  The latch tab is full length but broken on one side of the rivet hole.  There is some flaking on the leather.  The box is unmarked except for the little stars that cover the nail holes.
