Smith Carbine
The Smith Carbine was in the top 4 carbines used in the Civil War. They were produced by three companies. This example was produced by American Machine Works .
This example shows little use and has significant amounts of original finish remaining. The barrel has most of the original bluing. The frame has 60 to 70 percent of the original case colors. The top barrel latch and triggerguard have most of the blue remaining. The markings are all sharp and the action is crisp. The stock is sound with sharp inspectors marks. There is a small Crack on the left side of the stock.
