Confederate Cap Pouch
This cap pouch is a New Orleans Magee Horter and George product. They used two belt loops which are attached to the body in a distinctive way unique to their opperation. Refer to page 75 in "Collecting the Confederacy" for a similar example. The brass finial is attached to a square piece of tin as a washer on the inside of the pouch. The body and flap of the pouch is thin leather showing the use of substandard leather. There is a break in the flap.
