Colt 1860 Army
The Colt 1860 Army was the most popular and widely used revolver of the war. While the Army liked the power of the Colt dragoon, they were concerned about the weight. They asked Colt to redesign the pistol and keep the caliber and reduce the weight. The 1860 Army is the result.
This example was made in 1862. It is complete and has a grey patina with some areas of light pitting. The markings in the metal are readable. The numbers match except for the wedge. The action is good. The cylinder scene is about 35 40 percent visible . The wood grips have a few chips but also a visible cartouche.
