1855 US Socket Bayonet and Scabbard

This bayonet it the most widely used of the Civil War Socket and fits the 58 caliber rifle musket.  It is marked US and has a dot over the US and a F under it.  The metal is a grey patina with some scattered salt and pepper staining.  The scabbard is the 7 rivet style.  It is complete and solid but does have some flaking.     SOLD
