1841 Rifle Robbins and Lawrence 1849

1841 Rifle dated 1849. SOLD

This 1841 rifle was made by Robbins and Lawrence and the lock is dated 1849.  The lock is smooth with clear mark's and a strong action. The full length barrel is a deep brown patina with potting in the breech area obscuring some of the markings.  The bore is dark and looks smooth.  The barrel has a dovetail for a saber bayonet lug.  It looks to be the New York alteration.  The ramrod is a correct replacement.  The full length stock is solid with some burnout behind the cone.  The inspectors mark's are visible.
