1816 Pomeroy Percussion Conversion
Pomeroy had several contracts to produce musket for the Army.
This example has a deep brown Attic look. The metal has a brown patina with areas of pitting. The Musket is complete and all origional. It an 1816 type I, which has the lower sling swivel is on a lug in front of the trigger guard bow. The lock markings are visible. The barrel breech has pitting that obscures the barrel markings. The stock has shark corners and a deep aged look to the wood. There is a strong catrouche in the flat opposite the lock.
