1795 Bayonet

1795 Bayonet - SOLD

This bayonet resembles the 1795 with an unbridge socket L slot.  But it is for a musket with the bayonet lug on the bottom.  The blade is 15 1/4" inches long and 1" wide at the base.  The socket is 3 1/8"  long and the inside diameter is almost 7/8".  The socket varies in thickness.  The only mark I see is a dot on the face of the blade.  The metal is brown with light to medium pitting on the surface.  There is no face flute.
