This copy of Hardee's is printed in Richmond in 1861 and consists of both volume I and Volume II bound together in one book. It is a thick book and each volume has it's own title sheet. This book has the original binding and boards and has the spine label. There is wear to the binding. Probably poor materials were used to cover the boards and spine, as the seem partially worn off. The front boards show some wear to the paper but the rear boards have most of the paper cover missing. There is some newspaper visible that was used in the original binding. The plates are present and complete.
