Susat Civil War Antiques

    Austrian M1854 Lorenz Rifle

This model of Austrian Rifle was the third most common rifle musket used in the Civil War with 250,000 imported by the North and 100,000 imported by the south.

This example is dated 860 on the lock for 1860 and has the Austrian Eagle on the tail of the lock.  The metal is smooth and has only scattered areas of light pitting.  The barrel has the block rear sight but it looks shorter than usual,  The bore looks smooth.  The parts are all original except for the ramrod.  The sling swivels have been removed.  The stock is sound and has good color.
