1850 Arsenal Cap Pouch
This is an example of the type cap pouch produced late in the 1850s into the early part of the civil war. It has a US stamped in the outer flap and has an integral latch tab. There are two belt loops with no rivets. There is no wool but the wool skin shows a diagonal cut indicating production after 1859. The leather is solid and strong and all present with with no rips or tears.
