HALL 1819 Bayonet
This bayonet is an example for the 1819 Hall rifle. It looks very much like the 1816 bayonet, however the difference is the cut for the bayonet lug includes the profile of the front sight. This bayonet has some rust on it and should clean up. The Harpers Ferry Hall bayonets tend to be unmarked or have a dot. North however marked at least some of his bayonets with a US over a SN. This bayonet has a S over N on the face, where the stamp would normally be. I do not see a trace of the U or the lower S. I suspect the stamp was done at an angle. The North marked bayonets are scarcer.
