Belgian Enfield pattern Two Band Rifle

This rifle was made in Belgian and is a British Enfield pattern.  The lock is unmarked except for the double line around the lockplate.  The metal is smooth grey with some small areas of light pitting.  It has a cone protector.  All of the parts are origional.  The stock is sound and has a readable rounded.  There is a sling swivel behind the trigger guard.  The action is nice.  The stock is cut under the lower barrel band.  In the early days of stores such as Bannermans, stocks on rifles were cut for shipping, since it would fit in a smaller box.  The forearm seems to be the same piece of wood.
